The Mount
Angel Community
Glockenspiel,
with its hand carved-figures and beautiful music plays daily at
11 a.m., 1, 4 and 7 p.m. The
Glockenspiel
celebrates
Mount
Angel’s rich history, Germanic culture
and our world famous Oktoberfest.

Webentanz
– Mount
Angel school children
perform a German weavers (May pole) dance and other Bavarian
folk dances each day at noon near the bandstand. This
dancing program is made possible by a generous grant from
Portland General Electric Company.

Alpine Food Booths – Laden with rich, delicious Bavarian treats and
other ethnic foods, little alpine chalets line the village streets and
beckon the festival visitors. These booths are all operated by non-profit
organizations and feature Royal Crown Cola & 7UP as the soft drinks
of choice. |

Arts and Crafts
– A select group of artisans proudly display their handcrafted work for your
viewing pleasure or purchase – downtown and at St. Mary’s Old School Gym.

Biergarten
– Swing to the music of Die
Schlauberger,
America’s
#1 German Band, along with Polkatones & others. Lots of dancing and
Mt. Angel Sausage Company’s
European sausages highlight this Oktoberfest tradition. Enjoy
Budweiser, Bud Light, Beck's Beer from Germany, Widmer’s Okto,
Hefeweizen and Drop Top Amber. Adults only – must be 21

Weingarten – Families welcomed
courtesy Roth’s Family Markets. Enjoy wonderful food and
music. Dance and schunkel (swing) to the sounds of
the ORIGINAL DONAUMUSIKANTEN, a Bavarian Band from
Germany, brought to
America
by Lufthansa, the
official Oktoberfest airline. Savor great Northwest wines,
and Paulaner and Spaten German Beers, Bud Light and Widmer
Hefeweizen, and Royal Crown Cola & 7UP.

entertainment for the whole family. Enjoy

Bandstand
– The wonderful sounds
of music, singing and yodeling. If you are young at heart, try the street
dancing with polka contests on Friday and Saturday nights. Four days of
nonstop FREE Alpine entertainment is made possible courtesy of
Steinfeld Products Company, the official Oktoberfest Sauerkraut maker. |

Die FRUCHTSAULE
– The Harvest Monument is a symbol of the bountiful harvest and of the
goodness of Creation. In the center of the festival area, this is a great
place to meet and gather up your friends. Made possible by a donation of
materials and a grant from Withers Lumber. |

St. Mary Church Concerts – Features musical groups performing sacred music
from beautiful Church Latin, German, and American sacred traditions,
courtesy NW Natural.

Cruz-n Car Show – at St. Mary’s Public School across the street
from the parish church – Saturday and Sunday shows with 100
vehicles each day courtesy Silver Falls Bank located in
Silverton, Oregon City and Salem.
